2021 Garden Competition

We held a competition this year with Lakeside School and Greatfield Park running competitions for children to grow the tallest sunflower and the biggest mass of potatoes from a seed potato. This enabled the schools to have a lot of fun with these projects and then award the prizes (garden vouchers and seeds) without anyone who isn't part of the school setting foot in it...

We also invited local gardeners to send us photos of their gardens and tell us about their garden and what it means to them. We have seen some fantastic entries and the organisers have been busy letting everyone know how they did and distributing garden vouchers to the prize winners and runners up.

Finally we have been doing some photography, so will create a gallery so everyone can see how busy the children have been and take a look at all the beautiful gardens we have in Up Hatherley!
