Welcome to the Up Hatherley Parish Website

Welcome to the Up Hatherley Parish Council website, created to enable those who reside or work in the Parish to access practical information about the Parish Council and the local area.

The ancient Parish of Up Hatherley lies within the south-west of the Borough of Cheltenham. It is one of five parishes in the Borough. The parish is centred around the late Victorian Church, Village Hall, and Village Green. It has a population of near 5,000. Two primary schools, a Community Centre, Library, Post Office, a number of convenience stores, a large super market, and two public houses.

The parish councillors all give their time on a voluntary basis and work hard to ensure that Up Hatherley continues to be a pleasant place to live, work and visit. As the third tier of local government, operating below Cheltenham Borough Council and Gloucestershire County Council, all councillors are appointed via elections held every four years.

Visitors to the website can access information about the various areas of Council's business via the links on the navigation bar above.
